After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant he joined Legal & General where he held a variety of senior financial roles in Life and Pensions before becoming Managing Director of their General Insurance business in 1997. In 2000 Paul joined Australian owned insurer, QBE as CEO of their European London Market business. In 2005 he joined Xchanging Ltd, a business process outsourcer specialising in the banking and insurance sectors. | ||
| Current responsibilities & date of appointment | Paul was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Cardif Pinnacle in August 2006. He chairs the Executive Director's Group and provides strategic direction with the help of his colleagues on the Main Board. | Career history | Andy Swain entered the world of General Insurance in 1979 as European Trainer for Pat Ryan and Associates before moving into sales management with Ryan Insurance, a role that led to his appointment as Joint Managing Director of Lombard Dealer Services. Prior to forming his own consultancy in 2001, Andy was also Sales Director of London General Holdings (Creditor and Warranty) and Managing Director of Aon Resource Group with responsibility for the development of General Insurance products. | ||

He joined Pinnacle Insurance in 1986 and was appointed Finance Director in 1989. | ||

| Career history | Adam Golding has been working in the insurance industry since January 1991. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in 1994, with whom he worked in London and Sydney until 1998. Before leaving to join Cardif Pinnacle, Adam was with QBE in London where he worked as Head of Finance for their UK company and Lloyds operations. | ||

As Product Development and Marketing Director, John works closely with colleagues in the Executive Management Group to identify, research and implement product and marketing strategies. His primary responsibilities are the business development and performance of Direct & Affinity Marketing and our Contact Centre, Financial Telemarketing Services. He works closely with the DAM and FTS sales teams to identify new business opportunities, to deepen existing client relationships, and to develop Cardif Pinnacles direct-to-consumer acquisition strategy. John Castagno joined Cardif Pinnacle in July 2007. ![]() |

| Career history | Before joining Pinnacle Insurance, Gerald was Deputy Managing Director of Paribas London, responsible for the development of global investment banking; prior to Paribas he was with Coopers & Lybrand (Paris and Boston, USA), Wallace Brothers and Midland Montague. In addition to his current role with Cardif Pinnacle, Gerald is also Chairman of the investment banking and corporate advisory arm of financial services group, Dawnay Day and a non-executive director of UK bedding group, Simmons Holdings plc. |
